Access ban (Turkey)
An access ban blocks access to a piece of online content from Turkey by court or administrative order; the content is not deleted, just unreachable from Turkey.
Versus removal
With an access ban the content stays online and can be seen abroad or via VPN, and may still appear in other countries' search results. Removal deletes it at source, permanently.
When it is used
For foreign sites that ignore requests. For a lasting fix, removal at source or delisting is pursued alongside.
Frequently asked questions
Does an access ban remove Google results?
Not automatically; search engines need separate requests.
