Lumen database
Lumen is a research database that collects and publishes online content removal requests; Google sends copies of many legal requests to it.
Why it matters
If a request appears in Lumen, the removed URL and requester details may be visible, which can trigger the Streisand effect.
What to do
Write names and descriptions in copyright and legal requests with care; most personal information requests are not sent to Lumen.
Frequently asked questions
Can a Lumen entry be removed?
