How to remove content from Bing

Bing keeps its own index and feeds AI answers such as Microsoft Copilot; content removed from Google has to be reported to Bing separately.

Why Bing matters

Bing's search share looks small, but Copilot and several AI assistants use the Bing index to find sources. A story delisted from Google but left on Bing can keep surfacing in AI answers.

Bing's removal routes

  • Report a Concern to Bing: the main form for unlawful content, non-consensual intimate images, personal data and copyright.
  • Right to be forgotten form: people in the EU and EEA can ask for results for their name to be removed.
  • Bing Content Removal Tool: for pages deleted or changed at source whose old copy still shows.
  • Bing Webmaster Tools: for site owners to remove their own pages quickly.

Step by step

  1. Search your name on Bing and list every problem link.
  2. Submit deleted pages to the content removal tool.
  3. For pages still online, use Report a Concern with your legal grounds.
  4. Check the same links on Google and Yandex.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to apply to Bing and Google separately?

Yes. Search engines are independent and one engine's decision does not bind another.
