Anonymisation
Anonymisation makes the person in a piece of content unidentifiable; replacing a name with initials and removing the photo is the common form in news.
Why it works
Publishers that will not delete may agree to anonymise; the article stays archived but no longer appears for your name.
Legal basis
Data protection law foresees erasure or anonymisation when the purpose ends. See GDPR Article 17.
