The data controller decides why and how personal data is processed and is the addressee of GDPR and KVKK requests.
Who it is
The publisher of a news site, the operator of a forum, the platform itself on social media. The privacy policy, imprint or contact page usually names it.
Why it matters
A request sent to the wrong party does not start the clock. See GDPR Article 15.
