Turkish Copyright Law Additional Article 4: online infringement

For works used online without permission in Turkey, the rights holder first notifies the content provider, which must remove the content within three days; otherwise the public prosecutor can order access to be stopped.

What it says

When a work is made available online without the rights holder's permission, the content provider removes it within three days of the rights holder's application. If the infringement continues, the rights holder can apply to the public prosecutor, who can have access providers suspend the service.

In practice

  1. Collect the URL and proof of ownership (original files, publication dates, contracts).
  2. Write to the content provider.
  3. If not removed in three days, go to the prosecutor.

For global platforms the DMCA is often faster.
