kununu is the centre of employer reputation in German-speaking countries; when an employer flags a review, kununu can ask the reviewer to prove they worked there.
How to report
- Claim your free employer profile.
- Report the review and name the problem: insult, false statement of fact, personal data or content unrelated to the employer.
- If you doubt the reviewer ever worked for you, say so; kununu can request proof of employment while keeping the reviewer anonymous.
- The review is usually taken offline during the check.
Opinion versus fact
Under German law, value judgements such as "management is poor" are protected opinion. Statements of fact such as "salaries have not been paid for three months" can be tested and removed if false.
