How to remove posts from Threads
Threads accounts are tied to Instagram, so impersonation, privacy and copyright requests go through the same Meta forms as Instagram.
What can be removed
- Posts and replies with harassment, threats or hate
- Accounts impersonating you
- Photos and videos shared without consent
- Non-consensual intimate images
Step by step
- Copy the post link.
- Use Report from the post's menu.
- For impersonation use Instagram's form; the Threads profile is reviewed together with its Instagram profile.
- For copyright use Meta's IP form.
Frequently asked questions
If a Threads account is removed, does its Instagram go too?
For impersonation or serious breaches Meta may review linked accounts together; outcomes are not always the same.
