How to remove content from Facebook
Facebook posts, comments, pages and groups are handled through reports and Meta's privacy and IP forms; Meta reviews the same content on Instagram and Threads separately.
What can be removed
- Posts and comments with defamation, harassment, threats or hate
- Your photos shared without consent
- Profiles and pages impersonating you or your brand
- Posts infringing your copyright or trademark
- Non-consensual intimate images
Step by step
- Save the permalink of the post, profile or group post.
- Use Report from the menu; if no category fits, go to the Help Center forms.
- Use the privacy violation form for your photos and the impersonation form for fake profiles.
- For closed groups, also write to the group admins; an admin can remove a post in minutes.
If your own account was disabled, see Facebook account disabled.
