GDPR Articles 77, 79 and 82: complaint, court action and compensation
If a controller ignores your request, the GDPR offers a complaint to the regulator (77), court action (79) and compensation (82).
Article 77: complaint
To the supervisory authority where you live, work or where the infringement happened; it costs nothing.
Article 79: court
Against the controller or processor, in the member state where it is established or where you habitually reside.
Article 82: compensation
Anyone suffering material or non-material damage from an infringement can claim compensation.
Order of steps
Usually a written request first, then a complaint; court action for significant harm, with a lawyer.
