Turkish Penal Code Article 267: false accusation
Article 267 punishes knowingly false reports to authorities, or allegations through the press, aimed at getting someone investigated or sanctioned.
What it says
Knowingly accusing an innocent person, to authorities or through the press, in order to trigger an investigation or administrative sanction: one to four years' imprisonment.
Versus insult
Insult attacks honour; false accusation aims to make someone appear guilty before authorities and is not complaint-based.
